The SmartSolar MPPT 250/70 VE-CAN is a solar charge controller that includes Bluetooth and VE.Can bus port for linking multiple chargers. It contains an ultra-fast MPPT controller, allowing you to fully charge your 12/24/48V batteries in the shortest amount of time.
The solar charger features Battery Life, an intelligent battery management function that adjusts load disconnect levels for full charge and prevent damage. It supports a fully discharged battery recovery function that will recharge a severely depleted battery provided the cells are not damaged. It also has various charge protections.
The solar charge controller can be monitored and managed via Bluetooth, USB (with optional VE.Direct to USB interface cable, or the internet using a GX device or GlobalLink 520 device.

  • 1000W @12V or 2000W @24V or 4000 @48V maximum PV power.
  • Includes VC.Can interface which allows you to daisy-chain with other SmartSolar charge controllers (Up to 25 units) to synchronise their charge stages.
  • An ultra-fast MPPT controller will improve energy harvest by up to 30% compared to PWM charge controllers when light intensity is changing continuously.
  • Innovative BlueSolar algorithm will always maximise energy harvest by locking in the optimum MPP.
  • No cooling fan. Maximum efficiency exceeds 98%.
  • Fully programmable charge algorithm and eight pre-programmed algorithms, selectable with a rotary switch.
  • Offers over-temperature, short circuit and reverse polarity protection.
  • Includes built-in Bluetooth for set-up, monitor, update and synchronise SmartSolar Charge Controllers.
  • Optional external battery voltage and temperature sensing via Bluetooth by pairing with BMV-712 smart battery monitor.
  • Recovers low voltage batteries. It will initiate charging even if the battery has been discharged to zero volts.
