Return & Refund Policy

At Cables Online, we strive to ensure that our customers receive high-quality products and excellent service. This Return & Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which products purchased from our website may be returned or refunded.

 

1. Faulty, Damaged, or Incorrect Items

If you receive goods that are faulty, damaged, or different from what you ordered, you must notify us within 7 days of receiving the goods.

  • Your order number
  • Description of the issue
  • Photos of the product (if applicable)

Once the issue is verified, we will arrange an appropriate resolution, which may include:

  • Replacement of the product
  • Repair (where applicable)
  • Refund to the original payment method

2. Change of Mind Returns (Effective 1 October 2023)

Under Australian Consumer Law, businesses are not required to provide returns or refunds for change-of-mind purchases. However, at Cables Online, we aim to provide excellent customer service and may consider change-of-mind returns under specific conditions.

From 1 October 2023, products will only be eligible for a change-of-mind return if they meet the following criteria:

  • The product remains in its original factory-sealed packaging
  • The product has not been opened or used
  • All seals, shrink wrap, and packaging are intact and undamaged

Products that have been opened, unsealed, or had shrink wrap removed are not eligible for change-of-mind returns.

An exception may be made if the product was purchased based on incorrect information provided by our staff or website regarding its suitability.

Please note that all change-of-mind returns are subject to approval by Cables Online.

 

3. Items Not Eligible for Return

Returns will not be accepted for products in the following conditions:

  • Soiled, marked, used, or otherwise damaged items
  • Products with damaged or missing packaging
  • Incomplete products, including missing accessories, manuals, cables, or keys
  • Products that have been altered or modified

 

4. Incorrect Product Selection

Customers are responsible for selecting the correct product before completing a purchase.

If an incorrect product was ordered, returns may not be accepted, particularly if the product packaging has been opened or the item has been used.

If you are unsure about product compatibility before purchasing, we recommend contacting our support team for assistance.

 

5. Return Shipping Costs

Return shipping costs will depend on the reason for the return:

  • If the return is due to faulty, damaged, or incorrect items supplied by us, return shipping will be covered by Cables Online.
  • If the return is due to change of mind or customer error, the customer will be responsible for all return shipping costs.

 

6. Restocking Fees

For approved change-of-mind returns, CablesOnline brand of Impelsoft Pty Ltd reserves the right to charge a restocking fee of up to 30% of the value of the returned goods.

This fee covers handling, inspection, and processing costs.

 

7. Non-Compliant Returns

Impelsoft Pty Ltd reserves the right to return goods at the customer’s expense if they do not comply with this Return & Refund Policy.

 

8. Refund Processing

Once a returned item has been received and inspected:

  • Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method
  • Refunds may take 3–7 business days to appear in your account depending on your payment provider

Shipping charges are generally non-refundable, unless the return is due to an error by Cables Online.

 

9. Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

You are entitled to:

  • A replacement or refund for a major failure, and
  • Compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
